Product Development Quality department, within Quality & Customer Satisfaction (Q&CS), is responsible for the Quality assurance of the Product Development system. The department consist of Current Model Quality, Forward Model Quality and Quality methods and tools. The Forward Model Quality (FMQ) group consists of 11 highly skilled senior program managers responsible for quality assurance in our vehicle programs from a technical and business point of view.
As Senior Program Manager FMQ you will work together with Technical Concept Leader (TCL) and Technical Project Leader (TPL), in the Industrial Project and with the Vehicle Line Management (VLM) in the business project. You will ensure that the program teams apply and work according to the Product Creation Process/VPDS (Volvo Product Development System). I addition to this you will also act as the Q&CS representative in the programs, safeguarding that the product reach its customer value/satisfaction.
Main responsibilities
* Secure the quality performance and proactively supports the Program Team to achieve Product quality targets
* Secure that the Project and the Project Management Team understand the required deliverables and initiate activities necessary to achieve milestone/gateway fulfilment
* Participate in the development of the project main time plan and secure logic timing of key activities and milestone/gateways
* Plan, prepare and lead milestone/gateway-loops and support with assessments, conclusions and recommendations
* Initiate & drive activities leading to efficient quality work
* Recommend milestone decisions to Senior Vice President Q&CS
* Work in several programs in parallel
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. or equivalent technical experience
* Experienced in Product Development process
* Documented leadership qualities and experiences
* Driver 's license, B
* Knowledge/experience from product development in the automotive industry is meritorious
Personal qualities
* High integrity and Business acumen
* Result focused and drive to work proactively
* Positive and enthusiastic with Strong communication skills
* Good vehicle/product knowledge
* Good administrative ability
