We are looking for a Senior Product manager to be part of our Product strategy team within the Short Range Radio Product Center. u-blox develops and market wireless chipsets and modules, in short range area this is based upon technologies like Wi-Fi, BT, BLE, NFC, V2X (11p), our key target markets are within Industrial and Automotive segments. In this role you will be responsible for a number of products / product lines and you will be part of the exciting journey to create the Internet of Things (IoT). As a product manager you will be exposed to a broad network within the company. You will work together with product marketing and business development colleagues and have close interactions with other departments e.g. Sales, R&D, Logistics, Sourcing, Application engineering and management functions at various levels as well as external parties like customers and eco-system partners.
Responsibility areas:
Drive the product strategy and roadmap for your products
Manage the product life cycle
Define products and product requirements
Define and maintain profit and loss views
Interact with key suppliers and partners
Develop necessary marketing tools
Market & competitor analysis
Validate products in the market and work with lead customers, be able to act as the product expert in sales related situations.
Requirements:
Master of Science in an engineering discipline (electrical, computer science etc.). Additional training in business and/or market communication is a merit.
Broad experience (10+ years) and proven success in product management or product marketing within B2B wireless, communications or IC industry; experience from industrial and/or automotive market segments ideally
Experience of wireless technologies. Knowledge from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 802.15.4, NFC and similar is an advantage.
Interest, knowledge and experience in market and customer communication
Experience from managing products using Agile methodologies in a fast changing market
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to work across multi-cultural, multi-geographical and multi-disciplinary organizations. Good at relationship building and networking.
As a person you are self-motivated, well organized can deal with overall strategic topics as well as more detailed technical questions and you take initiative and responsibility in your work area
Proficient in English
Travel is part of the role, amount will vary over time
Swedish citizen or holder of a valid work permit for Sweden
