The Stockholm site is focusing on Game Development and we are targeting to hire 30-50 professionals within a year. Are you interested in working with new and upcoming mobile platforms? Rovio is looking for a Senior Platform Specialist to join the rapidly growing Rovio Stockholm office. As a Senior Platform Specialist you will be part of Rovio’s global Operations team which is responsible of polishing and porting game builds developed by Rovio’s game studios to existing and new gaming platforms, as well as creating custom game versions for our clientele on interesting and challenging new platforms.
The position requires solid knowledge of mobile platforms and game programming in C++/Lua as well as Unity3D and offers varying and challenging tasks including working on the development of one of the world’s leading mobile game brands. As most of the Operations team is located at the Rovio HQ in Espoo, Finland, frequent travel between Stockholm and Helsinki is expected.
We would like you to:
• have 5+ years of experience in mobile game programming (C++/Lua)
• have 2+ years of experience developing using Unity3D
• have strong research and analytical skills
• have excellent communication and organizational skills
• have the ability to work under high pressure deadlines
• have excellent written and oral English
• be a great team player
• be able to work independently and without supervision
• be comfortable working in a different location than most of your team mates
• have a passion for writing quality code
The ideal candidate for this post is meticulous, quality driven and possesses strong proven experience in mobile game post production. Experience with game porting processes is considered an advantage.
The role requires an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously as well as excellent organization, communication, and team collaboration skills. Excellent written and oral skills in English are essential, as is the ability to learn and adopt new things in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
