hela Sverige Global Customer Service is a unit within Volvo Cars, which is responsible for the global aftermarket business, distribution of original spare parts and accessories and service. Our ambition is to be the preferred provider of parts and service to our dealers and customers, and thus actively contribute to creating the best car ownership experience for our customers.
Parts Supply & Logistics (PS&L) is responsible for delivering the right parts and accessories in time into dealers and importers for Volvo Cars markets worldwide. We design distribution concepts and together with the markets implement and drive improvements. The responsibility covers the entire material flow from suppliers to retailers during the car lifecycle. The business is built around central warehouses in Gothenburg & Shanghai and over 50 support warehouses around the world. The IT system landscape is global and part of our heart for the operations. The main challenge the coming year will be the big transformation needed to adapt/replace old legacy systems and the new global sourcing and refill structure needed in order to adapt to VCC global footprint.
Senior Manager- Transport Management
The Transport Management department covers procurement, planning and execution for transportation of spare parts and accessories from our Central Distribution Center to our dealers and customers for designated markets globally. The purpose is to ensure timely and cost efficient transportation considering quality and environmentally friendly transport. Transport Management consists of a team of 10 employees handling the daily and future transport business.
You will be part of the Logistic Market Area International team and report to the Director for Logistic Market Area International.
Main responsibilities:
* Identify long and short term trends and initiate development needs for current and future footprint and transport modes
* Sourcing and creation of transport agreements according to IDP 7-step Strategic Sourcing
* Technical specification for transports, Implement new suppliers and drive improvement activities to reduce lead time, cost, quality and reduce environmental footprint
* Transport execution incl export declaration
* Budget, forecasting and carrier performance follow up
* Customs coordination within PS&L including customs technical specification
Required qualifications:
* University degree in Engineering or Economics
* Minimum 3 years of Purchasing/sourcing experience
* Experience from cooperation with markets/dealers
* Experience within Transport/shipping business
* Good documented leadership skills
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
Personal qualities:
* Ability to plan and organize work
* Excellent interpersonal/communication- and social-skills
* Live and act according to Volvo Cars Culture
* Creative thinking, ability to "think outside the box"
* Experience from working in a multi-cultural environment
