We currently have the following job opening;
Senior Manager CAE NVH
As a Senior Manager you will manage the CAE NVH team with responsibility to lead and develop the individuals and the team. In addition you will be responsible to execute virtual development and improve the CAE capability and capacity globally within the NVH CAE area. Within the NVH CAE team we are mainly working within three subareas powertrain, chassis and trimmed body. Your task is to lead all of the subareas to change and optimize the design and/or content to improve the complete vehicles noise and vibration. So, except for building FE-models and analyse different driving scenarios, the task is to evaluate a large amount of data and conclude what to change and then communicate with both the NVH attribute and design teams at CEVT. Part of the work will also involve correlation work between the virtual NVH models and real physical tests.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Responsible for leading and developing the team. The role includes recruitment, salary setting, performance and competence development. Provide coaching and guidance to employees to ensure deliveries and personal development.
• Define, plan and lead attribute and system validation by CAE within NVH area
• Assist in planning and monitoring of physical system validation
• Develop core competence strategy for NVH CAE
• Work in close cooperation with GRI (Geely Research Institute) and Volvo Car Corporation
• Identify and execute efficiency and improvement programs across CEVT and GRI
Profile and Background
• Long-time experience in virtual development and verification methods within NVH area
• Knowledge about industry trends and applicability of new CAE technologies within NVH area
• Good overall engineering understanding
• To be successful in this role it is important that you have leadership skills to be able to lead, drive and motivate people and the team.
• You have a strong personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative, drive issues, make decisions and lead change.
• Excellent cultural sensitivity, especially Asian - European culture
• You are efficient and have excellent planning skills
• Ability to lead and coordinate both internal and supplier work
