hela Sverige Swiss-based u-blox (SIX:UBXN) is a leading provider of wireless and positioning semiconductors and modules for the automotive, industrial and consumer markets. We are currently seeking a Senior Manager for our Software Development team.
The Manager of our Software Development team ensures that the software projects are planned and executed in a timely and efficient manner as well as in accordance with the u-blox product life-cycle process (PLCP). You will coordinate software resource selection and assignment with the respective program- and project management functions according to u-blox' matrix organization and ensure that the competence of the software team is maintained and developed.
Tasks:
• Manage multi-site development team
• Contribute in defining project specifications
• Support project managers during project planning and controlling (time schedule, resource allocation, risk assessment, etc.)
• Support project managers in possible optimizations and cost reductions
• Coordinate software development between projects
• Ensure training of developers
• Define processes and tools
• Monitor and enforce quality procedures
• Manage of purchase of material for software development purposes
• Ensure maintenance of software laboratory infrastructure
• Support hiring process of software developers
• Liaise with software development managers of other product centers
• Support and coordinate with product strategy and technology team
• Work as project manager
• Work as software developer
Requirements:
• Master of Science in software engineering
• Minimum five years of experience in SW development of wireless products
• Excellent team and project management capabilities
• Good knowledge in software development, quality and tools
• Team integrator capability
• Good organizational skills
• Good analytical skills
• Flexible team player
• Several years of experience as a software team leader is an asset
• Swedish citizen or holder of a Swedish work permit
• Fluent in Swedish, good skills in English
