The Sourcing function of Telia Company is currently in the middle of a challenging transformation to set an organization that truly leverages the global strength of the group with the guidance of local business needs. We strive for continuous development together with our suppliers, through category and vendor management, to reach a world-class procurement function.
The Process and Architecture Development Team is responsible for driving and making improvements in the sourcing and procurement processes. We are a team of twelve that are working as internal project managers and process experts with the target to deliver improvements to the processes. Now we have the need to strengthen the team with a Senior Manager to drive our implementation of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The person need to have strong program management skills, with both the ability to engage in questions in the projects as well as competence in program management methods.
Your challenge
In the area of Sourcing, Procurement and Supply Chain - you will be driving the GDPR initiative, first through the compliance journey, then after the regulation due date, by coordinating the maintenance of the policy framework in place and coordinating the improvement efforts within the function (outsourced personal data processing)
Representing the function in internal forums and platforms related to the privacy subject
Coordinating a team of subject matter experts to review and update the function policy framework, review and update the suppliers' agreements, perform the suppliers' audits & follow-up on the audits correction action plan
Coordinate the functions efforts in providing necessary support to Chief Privacy Officers during eventual unfortunate breaches (Sourcing Managers, Category Managers, SRM team, Audit Team, Sustainability Team, etc) as well as with the internal stakeholders (Privacy & Security Officers, B2B, B2C, Legal...) and involved third parties
Following up and Reporting to the Steering Committee the progress of Privacy actions/action plan within the functions

Your experience
University Degree, M.sc in Business or Engineering
Minimum 8 years of experience working in international organizations with complex business models and matrix organization, preferably at reputable Telco's and IT Vendors/OEMs
Solid Sourcing background, preferably in Telecom or IT industry
Project management background, PM certification is a plus
Experience in driving security and privacy initiatives in the sourcing and supply chain context in Telecom industry is a must
Experience in driving the implementation of group initiative, policies, processes and tools.
Demonstrated previous similar experience
Privacy certification (EU-GDPR) is an asset
Experience in managing people and virtual teams (with direct and dotted line reporting)
Both written and verbal communication in English, additional internationally spoken languages is a plus
