They are responsible for examinations at the undergraduate and graduate level, supervising students and conducting educational development. In addition, they develop their own research, and interact in various ways with the community. This position involves independent work as well as work in teams.
The main focus for this position is the development of research activities in relation to data science, including, for example, data mining, machine learning and big data. Related areas at the department, such as algorithmics, computational media, decision support systems, interaction technology, Internet of things, and software engineering may also be included.
Important tasks related to the position include the supervision of PhD-students and applying for research grants.
The successful candidate for this position must have:
• A Swedish or international PhD degree in relevant area for this position.
• Documented teaching proficiency, including educational development and leadership.
• Has demonstrated an ability to engage with wider society and communicate their activities within their area of responsibility.
• Experience of PhD-supervision.
The Faculty of Technology and society (TS) offers educations and research in computer science and media technology as well as engineering, natural sciences and applied mathematics. A characteristic of our research and teaching is the engagement of companies and other organizations as active participants. We are located in Malmö city close to Malmö Central Station.
