Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
It is expected that the successful candidate will play a key
role in conducting research and supervising PhD students in
the broad area of engineering education. The central aim of
the research is to strengthen the teaching and learning of
core subjects in engineering education at the undergraduate
level.
Teaching duties include a variety of staff development
courses in pedagogy and graduate level courses in
engineering education research. The successful candidate
will also be expected to assist in education and training of
teachers in upper secondary school and in providing
pedagogical support to individual teachers and other
functions at the university
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
The qualification required for the position is one of the
following:
A PhD in educational science with a focus on one of the STEM
areas (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
and higher education.
A PhD in one of the STEM areas (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics) together with a documented
academic track record in engineering education research.
In addition, it is required that the candidate has
completed a Diploma of Higher Education or has acquired
equivalent knowledge and experience in another way.
Teaching experience at university level is expected,
preferably in engineering education. Candidates with
experience of giving staff development courses in pedagogy
have an added advantage. Most courses are given in English
and consequently a high level of English proficiency is a
requirement for the job.
English is our working language for research. Both Swedish
and English are used in undergraduate courses, while
graduate courses are taught in English. The applicant is
recommended to learn Swedish within a few years.
