The offer
As Senior Java Developer with agile experience you are expected to contribute with input around development best practices, object oriented analysis-, design- and implementation, distributed file system design and test automation techniques. You will also be part of one of our scrum teams and work with all tasks that are part of the daily development process.
In Products IT (Nordea Wealth Management), we are responsible for developing and supporting Nordea's fund distribution, ISK, IPS and discretionary portfolio management and statements for customer investments. We are following an agile development process, where we are transforming from releasing our changes each month to smaller increments where the goal is to deliver weekly and long-term even daily.
What you'll be doing:
• Collecting the data from multiple investment product systems in Nordea and transform the data in Hadoop so it can be used by the statements.
• Together with the team and business partners contribute to the long term vision and execution of the same.
• On the Java platform, you will be developing REST services with the latest Java 8 technologies, deployed in a microservices architecture. Spring, JPA/Hibernate and SQL databases are often used. ReactJS is preferred for building our web clients.
The role is based in the city centre in Stockholm. Welcome to a team that is highly skilled, mixed (onsite/offshore) and is working fully integrated with our business partner in Investment Product Operations. Closely interlinked with the surrounding products within Investment Solutions & Advisory Centre in Wealth Management.

Your background:
• You have a university degree in a relevant field and hands-on experience from agile way of working in complex environments.
• For this position you should be/have experience from/in: Distributed file systems, Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark
• 5+ years' experience working as Java developer
• Excellent in Object Oriented Design and Implementation
• Dependency Injection (Spring, GUICE/GIN)
• Experienced in TDD/Unit Testing and mocking frameworks etc. (e.g. Mockito, Hamcrest, Junit/TestNG)
• Tools: Maven, distributed version control (GIT), Atlassian products: Stash/BitBucket, build server (Bamboo), JIRA
• Techniques: RESTful web services, JAX-WS, application servers (WebLogic and Tomcat), React, JPA, Hibernate
