Job Description
The hardware development team brings hardware competence and know-how into PacketFront’s development projects where the future broadband products are created in close cooperation with product management, the software team and other departments. Maintenance, reconfiguration of existing product lines and supporting the manufacturing and product management departments are equally important tasks and part of our daily work.
Responsibilities:
• Produce requirement specifications, technical evaluations and acceptance tests in development projects
• Document and maintain manufacturing material for our current product lines
• Cooperate with our product management and supply chain departments
• Keep and evolve our development partner relations
• Understand and maintain regulatory requirements and knowledge
• Suggest and implement cost reduction activities
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting of hardware or system related problems
Required skills:
• Ten years experience of hardware development
• Requirement specification skills and excellent documentation skills
• Schematics design
• Signal integrity competence, including simulations
• Knowledge and experience from all aspects of the product development cycle
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and certification
Preferred skills:
• Layout experience
• Experience from high volume manufacturing
• PLM system experience
