Senior Group Experts - Olefins Technology
Role Purpose
The main objectives of Base Chemical Process group are to give technical support to the existing Borealis olefin plants including Borouge and assist the plants in their development towards increased capacity, improved safety/operability and competitiveness.
With Borealis ambitious olefins expansion plans both in Europe and UAE, we need to strengthen our expert resources within Olefins Technology.
Thus we want to recruit two senior group experts to increase our capability of supporting expansion plans and technical development of the Borealis olefin plants:
1. Steam cracker furnace expert
2. Olefins Recovery expert
Contribution
• Support our technical networks across Borealis plants.
• Develop ideas for improve safety/operability and reduction of operatingcosts.
• Assist in troubleshooting.
• Participate in selection of technology in investment projects.
• Preform pre-studies and technical evalutions in co-operation with licensors and contractors.
• Act as technology expert in large projects in Europe and UAE.
Knowledge, skills and experience
• Both positions require an university degree in relevant engineering discipline and at least 15 years of olefin experience from operation, maintenance or engineering:
1. Steam Cracker Furnace expert with at least 10 years experience in furnace technology with in dept knowledge of operation and/or design of the same.
2. Olefins Recovery expert having at least 10 years of experience in operation or design of equipment for olefins recovery.

Other information
The selected person is expected to be flexible to take project assignments in Europe and UAE. Home base location is flexible and can be at any of the Borealis locations (Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Austria or Germany)
