About the project and the position
We are looking for several experienced gameplay engineers for a project that is part of a well known franchise. The game is based on an existing engine that has been used for multiple releases on multiple platforms.
The project is one of its kind and it's necessary to quickly learn the large codebase to ensure a successful development. Therefore, we expect you to be self motivated and have a strong drive.
What we are looking for
You are an experienced engineer that can make use of an existing engine to implement the features that the game requires. You will work with all areas such as game play mechanics, Physics (using Havok), Animation, SFX, Level-scripting, etc. In other words, anything and everything that is needed to complete the game.
Ready to take on this challenge?
Required experience:
• Successfully shipped at least one AAA game, or have equivalent experience
• Good understanding of 3D math for game play
• Good understanding of game physics for game play (not low level solver)
• Good understanding of graphics and rendering
• Excellent C++ programming skills
Prioritized merits:
• Experience with the Anvil engine
• Experience working with consoles (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)
Facts about the position
The position will include a 6-8 week getting-started mission in Montreal, Canada. The remaining project time will be in Malmö, Sweden, starting January or February 2011.
