For this role we are looking for a Full Stack Developer focusing on our web app. The applications team is responsible for building and continuously improving our web app, browser extension and mobile app. These apps are built on top of our immense dataset collected by other parts of the organization. You will be working Cross functional in a delivery team consisting of developers, Product Managers, designers and QA that share a common interest in building distributed systems with rich data and designing beautiful API:s.
You will get a chance to apply your skills to continue the development of a sophisticated, scalable and effective backend engine for the world's leading web intelligence engine. We strive to make our data as actionable and comprehensive as possible and have fun while doing it.
What you'll do as a Senior Full stack Developer:
Continuously design, develop and deploy services with focus on high availability, great quality, low latency and scalability
Work together with our product team to understand and deliver expected results
Code primarily using JavaScript, Scala or Java
Continuously design, develop and deploy frontend and backend services with focus on high availability, great quality, low latency and scalability
Measure and evaluate features and system metrics to continuously improve user experience and service performance
Be proactive, go beyond expectations
Familiarity with common programming design patterns and best practices
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
What you'll bring to the Senior Software Developer role:
Highly proficient in JavaScript / TypeScript
HTML/CSS Styling
Rest Services and Web Sockets
Java or Scala
Passionate about great design and UI
Ability to work all the way from high level architecture design down to efficient code
You have a good understanding of system design, data, structures and algorithms
Be able to take initiatives and collaborate across teams
Relevant education or experience
Nice to have
React JS
Mongo DB
Elastic Seach
GraphQL
The applications team is based in central Gothenburg. In the normal world we sit in charming offices with open tile stoves and views over the rooftops of Gothenburg. We collaborate closely within the team and discuss solutions (big as well as small) frequently and happily across the ongoing deliveries. We help and support each other in finding the right solution in an inquisitive and open way.
