We currently have the following job opening;
Senior Fault Tracer
The unit Powertrain Engineering in CEVT is responsible for the development of new transmissions for Geely Group as well as development of Hybrid and Electric Propulsion systems including all high voltage components. As Senior Fault Tracer, you will be responsible to lead and conduct the fault tracing of HV components and systems as "stand alone" as well as in Boxcars and vehicles. In your role as Senior Fault Tracer you will also train other fault tracers in tools, methods and conduct product training with them. Since CEVT operates in several countries you need to be prepared to travel with short notice to where the vehicle build is and where the cars are tested.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Responsible for powertrain fault tracing on the company's products.
- Responsible for addressing failures found to the responsible engineer/department.
- Responsible to feedback experiences from fault tracing to the home organization.
- Be updated on the CEVT products, their functionality, electrical architecture & electrical schematics.
- Work with the tool chain used for SW file handling, fault tracing and SW download.
- Do SW flashing & updating of SW in cars.
- Take log files to illustrate or describe a problem found.
- Work with colleagues from several different areas e.g. Powertrain, Electrical and Climate
- Work alone with cars, boxcars, systems and components.
Requirements
- MSc in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent experience
- At least 5 years' experience of fault tracing advanced and complex electrical and HV systems at an OEM.
- Profound knowledge of SW tools handling e.g. CANalyzer, INCA, CANoe.
- Profound skills in using measuring equipment e.g. oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.
- Structured problem solving mindset
- Fluent in English, oral and in writing
- Good presentation and communication skills
Merits
- Working on a car assembly line and workshops.
- Well accustomed to Chinese culture is an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of transmission, hybrid systems, engine hardware or software development is an advantage
- Automotive development experience is an advantage
- In favor of environmentally friendly technologies
- Engineering degree at a Masters level or equivalent
