ABB Lorentzen & Wettre is a world-leading manufacturer of equipment for quality control and process optimization in the pulp and paper industry. Our head office, including R&D and manufacturing, is located in Kista, Stockholm. Our unit consists of about 80 people, where Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, Maintenance and R&D all sit under one roof. In this role you will be part of our R&D software team, where you will get the opportunity to be an active part of our product development life cycle, from idea to launch.
We are looking for a Senior Electronic Engineer to the L&W Process Measurements R&D Department. We develop state-of-the-art products used on-line in the paper making industry and are used to measure properties such as freeness, moisture, permeability, and fiber morphological properties. As a Senior Electronic Engineer, you will be reporting to R&D Team Manager and you will have a lead role in electronic design and layout, both by directly working with PCB design and layout, or in collaboration with contractors. You will also lead and oversee more junior engineers and share your knowledge and experiences with the team. You will join a small but cross functional team with competences within embedded systems, sensor physics, mechanical design and project management.
Your responsibilities
HW Prototype development and testing in projects, involving identifying suitable HW components for use on PCB or as part of a system
PCB design and layout in project and maintenance related tasks
Writing of test-protocols and/or testing of HW in prototype stage
Giving input to project leaders on electronics related requirements
Application engineering and maintenance work, involving root cause analysis and solution proposals for hardware related issues escalated to R&D
Measuring with existing products on new product areas and modifying existing product to reach new markets
Support colleagues within the electronic discipline and strive to improve the team's performance
Project management, alongside with project duties

Your background
A Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or similar field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic engineering
A proven team player who thrives in an open-minded climate and close collaboration with your peers
Knowledge and experience in our FSD, FPM and FMM sensor equipment
Knowledge of KPM:s product portfolio
A big advantage is if you have experience and knowledge of the paper making process and of hardware design for products used in the paper making industry
