Dina arbetsuppgifterExpertise in Designing and Consulting (EDC) is now looking for a senior electrical engineer to be the head of our department. We require that you have at least 15 years' experience in the electrical engineer field as well as be passionate when it comes to the industry. Since a lot of our clients are based in the Middle-East, Fluency in both English and Arabic is a must. Job description - You as a senior electrical engineer - Researches and analyzes data such as client design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application -Works with clients to develop project scope of work; engineering and construction estimates; and schedules -Is responsible for developing electrical drawings, usually in association with designers and other disciplines on multi-discipline projects -Develops equipment lists, material requisitions, purchase specifications and other documents related to electrical equipment -Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering and design calculations and other engineering tasks -Has the ability to direct and coordinate fabrication, construction, installation, and operational testing to ensure electrical systems conform to engineering design, client specifications, and applicable codes, regulations, and laws -Mentors young engineers and designers in electrical engineering and design Keys to your success will be providing your electrical engineering abilities to produce quality engineering deliverables and equipment specifications that comply with client, company, industry and safety standards.
Utbildning och erfarenhetSkills Required -10+ years' experience within the field of electrical engineering -Excellent communication skills, fluency in both Arabic and English is a requirement since most of our cliental is in the Middle East -Teamleader; the ability to coach/mentor newly graduated engineers within the company -Knowledge of electrical engineering and design practices including drawings, specifications, codes, building materials and costs, and construction techniques. -Working knowledge of applicable electrical power system analysis software packages such as ETAP, EDSA, and/or SKM. - Experience reviewing and approving project drawings (electrical portion) -Experience coordinating electrical engineering and design activities with other project disciplines -Working knowledge of NFPA, NEC, applicable electrical codes as well as industry codes and standards (e.g. IEC, ANSI, IEEE, ISA). -Design experience in facility medium and low voltage power distribution systems, electrical equipment and systems procurement and installation specifications. -Experience in emergency and uninterruptable power generation and distribution systems design and the preparation of associated electrical equipment, procurement, and installation specifications. -Ability to work independently and as a team member on multiple, concurrently executed projects. -Willingness and ability to travel as project or company needs dictate -Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
