hela Sverige PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As Senior Electrical Engineer in Bombardier Transportation you will be a member of our design team working with product development of propulsion equipment used in all types of rail vehicles, such as metros, commuter, regional and high-speed trains.
You are responsible for the technical performance of our converter products and will join our cross functional design team to work with dimensioning, simulation, specification and testing of the products. You will work with innovative products and next generation of components in development projects and order projects.
With your skill set and experience you will focus on optimizing the products in the aspects of life cycle cost and reliability. You will also ensure our products fulfilment of legal requirements and international standards.
To succeed in this role, you need to have senior experience and knowledge in power electronics or electrical dimensioning for system application or similar.
We prefer that you are self-driven, flexible, analytic and innovative. You must be a team player with good communication skills who is open to share and spread your knowledge in a global environment.
In your role, you will
• Perform electrical calculation and dimensioning of converter products;
• Make thermal modelling and simulation;
• Lead complex investigations with result oriented approach;
• Analyse customer requirements;
• Perform testing to verify and validate the product and system;
• Provide the organization with expert support e.g. technical knowledge and problem solutions;
• Work with development of process and tools;
• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics and Mathematics or equivalent
• Minimum +5 years of experience in design related work
• Experience in electrical power engineering, power electronics and/or electromagnetic field
• Technical knowledge about power semiconductor is a plus
• Experience in working with tools; MATLAB, Simulink, PLECS, SPICE
• Experience of the Model Based Design (MBD) methodology
• English at a business fluent level is essential for the job
• Swedish at an intermediate level is preferable
