NMBC is responsible for the large casted items that make up the body of the engine such as the engine block, cylinder head, engine brackets, rocker cover, and flywheel housing. We are also responsible for the entire engine's oil and water tightness.
About the role
We are now looking for a senior designer who is motivated by the challenge of balancing technical product characteristics such as performance and strength against cost and production.
You will be part of a group with extensive experience and design large complex castings in cast iron and aluminum for sand and die casting. We also have plastic items. You will work closely with the internal foundry, machining, and assembly. There is also close work with our calculation, testing, purchasing, and global suppliers as well.
Scania is part of the Traton group and we have tight cooperation with colleagues in other brands.
Your profile
You are an outgoing and active person who also enjoys working independently.
You like challenges and can have many tasks running at the same time.
You are a Master's or Bachelor's degree with several years of experience in die casting construction in Catia V5 and now feel that you want to take the next step with complex parts. Applicants with less experience but with the right attitude may also be considered.
