hela Sverige Stockholm Headhunting has been commissioned to find a Database administrator (DBA) to Schibsted Enterprise Technology. As a Senior DBA at Schibsted you will support some of the most prominent Internet based services and media houses in Sweden and Europe. You will get the opportunity to work in a strong and experienced IT Operations department based in central Stockholm, with colleagues in the server-, network-, storage- and client areas.

About the role
As a Senior DBA at Schibsted Enterprise Technology you will administrate their 100+ MySQL/MariaDB/MSSQL databases. You will be responsible for the database service including capacity planning, service optimization, backup and schema restoration. The role also includes tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs. You will also review service related reports (database backups, maintenance, monitoring etc.) on a daily basis. This means that you will ensure that service related issues are identified and resolved promptly, that daily operations of their 100+ databases, perform tuning and query optimization, monitor and uphold database health, Patch, update and deploy databases and ensure highest security on database installations.
As a part of the infrastructure department you will work closely with the rest of your team and act as a go-to person for the less experienced database administrators. There will be plenty of opportunities to take initiatives and make your own ideas a reality.

Schibsted is looking for a skilled Senior DBA with a minimum of 5 years experience and in-depth system knowledge. You are architecturally driven and strongly focused on monitoring and operate the applications and systems. You feel confident in your role and have strong knowledge of different databases such as MySQL, MariaDB and MSSQL. It is also meriting if you have previous experience from working with Amazon RedShift, PostgreSQL or Oracle. If you have Linux and Windows skills, worked in a cloud-environment or been through a large technical migration before that is also interesting and an experience that will come in handy.
