Scania Credit Group (SCA) provides financial and insurance solutions to customers, dealers and distributors in more than 20 different markets via established local leasing companies or cross border financing. The Head Office and Market Support centre is based in Södertälje, supporting the local markets with governance, management, strategical development, administration and systems. In the markets where we operate, Scania Credit finance more than two thirds of Scania's sales. Over 120 dedicated professionals manage a financed portfolio of trucks, buses, coaches and trailers representing about 550 MEUR of assets.
Scania Credit Group is structured into six regions: Black Sea, East Adriatic, Ukraine, CIS region, Middle East and West Africa. In addition to this SCA is running Distributor Financing and Factoring solution to non-captive distributors in different parts of the world.
As a Senior Credit Underwriter you will be part of the Credit Risk department in Södertälje. The Credit Risk department consists of 6 employees working with credit underwriting, collection control, AML and continuous development of processes and systems in cooperation with other functions within the company.
In your role you will work in close cooperation with Credit Risk Team and will be reporting to Credit Risk Manager.
Main responsibilities
Your main responsibility is to work in the daily credit underwriting process, reviewing credit
applications for new and existing customers.
The role will include the following tasks:
• Perform assessment of the cases submitted for the credit decision
• Investigate, discuss and make recommendations on securities and collaterals
• Check, discuss best structure and present the final form for credit decisions
• Guarantee compliance with Credit Policy and other active steering documentation
• Control compliance with AML requirements
• Make credit decisions in accordance to SCA Credit mandates together with recommendations for all deals above own mandate level to Credit Risk Manager and MD
• Support other departments in Credit Risk related topics
• Back testing of credit decisions
• Active participation in Credit Risk related projects and performing activities to ensure that the project continues according to plan

• structured and analytical
• eager and able to work in a multi-cultural environment
• fluent in written and spoken English
and you have:
• 3 years or more in underwriting, or 5 years local market experience working with credit assessment and credit decisions
• flexibility and professional attitude
• ability to work both in a team and independently
• university degree preferably in business or economics
