This position requires a unique combination of skills and abilities including:
• understanding customers' development processes and engineering challenges
• designing, explaining and implementing solutions to meet customers' requirements
• managing multiple projects concurrently
• establishing and maintaining strong technical relationships with key customers
• getting to grips with new software tools and technologies
Our goal is to work hands-on with our customers to ensure their success in the areas of modelling, design, code generation, and verification and validation of embedded software. The successful candidate will support major customers in the Nordic region in the usage of the Simulink family of products.
Responsibilities
• Work with account managers to develop consulting opportunities in the Model-Based Design and embedded systems markets, with a particular focus on the aerospace and automotive industries.
• Deliver high quality advisory and implementation services to our customers in the Nordic countries and across Europe. You will work autonomously or as part of a wider team of consultants, application engineers, pilot engineers, and developers.
• Provide feedback to The MathWorks' software development team to influence the next generation of design, code generation, and verification and validation tools.
• Share information and experience with The MathWorks' sales and marketing teams.
Qualifications Required / Preferred
The successful candidate must have:
• A good first degree in engineering, computer science or similar areas.
• 5+ years (or Ph.D. plus 2+ years) of relevant hands-on experience in the automotive, aerospace or industrial automation industries
• Experience of software development in C, particular in embedded applications
In addition, experience in the following areas would be advantageous:
• algorithm development in digital signal processing
• modelling of physical systems e.g. electrical, mechanical, hydraulic etc.
• software architecture modelling (e.g., UML), requirements capture, and source control
• software standards and processes for safety-critical applications (e.g., MISRA-C, DO-178B)
• programming in C++, VHDL or Ada
