We are looking for a Senior CO2 certification and compliance specialist within the global Powertrain Engineering Certification and Compliance department. Powertrain Engineering is working with developing, industrializing, and maintaining heavy duty engines, transmissions, and electro-mobility solutions for the commercial transportation business. The Certification and compliance team in Sweden includes around 20 persons working in different roles. The team's mission is to have a holistic view on and environmental aspects throughout a products life cycle.
The position offers a stimulating and dynamic work environment, with a high-amount of interaction with colleagues throughout the Volvo Group, external partners and authorities on a global level.

Main activities and responsibilities:
• Be the main contact towards technical services and TAA. Initiate discussions with authorities when needed for interpretations and agreements
• Document "Exhaust Emission design requirements" with focus on CO2 for EU and EU similar legislations per emission level and step (e.g. EUVI step D and China VI)
• Supporting the organization in the adaption of the legal requirements as specialist in the CO2 regulation. Provide training in Powertrain Engineering school

Your profile:
• Passion for sustainability
• Structured and efficient
• Experience from CO2 regulation and certification
• Experience from negotiation with authorities
• Strong communication skills in English, spoken and written
• Experience from heavy duty diesel engines emission and OBD regulations
• At least 5 years of experience in the automotive business within powertrain development, engine testing, calibration or software development
• Master of Science
