Purchasing Projects Vehicle Europe (PVE) works on all major Volvo Group Trucks projects. PVE responsibilities cover areas such as Cabin, Electrical & Electronics, Chassis Vehicle Dynamics & Fluid Transfer, Sheet Metal Casting Aluminium & Plastics.
Mission
As Senior Project buyer you will take on the important challenge to drive and execute purchasing activities in cross-functional product projects and deliver on QDCF commitments (Quality Delivery Cost Features).

Core Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a sourcing plan, compile other sourcing prerequisites and secure timely hand-over to the Sourcing buyer
• Own the project purchasing key performance indicators on his/her segment(s)
• Drive the supplier project activities and performance and handle the escalation management at suppliers and in Volvo
• Negotiate changes between contract and actual project needs and ensure alignment to cost objectives
• Ensure supplier readiness for production
• Member in applicable project cross-functional team(s)
• Ensure collaboration with the other buyer roles within the respective segment(s)

Qualifications
• University degree in Business, Engineering or related field
• Purchasing experience
• Solid project management experience
• Negotiation experience in a supplier/customer relationship
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
