We need to strengthen our poker development team with a senior C++ developer that has a good eye for software development and architecture to further develop our platform and to practice a technical leadership for the whole team.
Location of the position is in Växjö, Sweden.
The development team works with Scrum, an Agile development process. You will be part of a team that takes tasks from a priority list and take responsibility for the design, implementation and testing in a timely manner. This team has all the necessary skills to work independently solving these tasks. We practice test driven development and see us generally as open to using new technologies in software development.
The poker development team consists of around 40 persons plus an offshore partner of about 15 persons. The main task are to further develop the existing platform that consists of a C++ server part, a back office part in .NET and some gaming clients in C++, Flash. At the same time, we are starting up work on a new platform in Java that will be extended on top of our other gaming and back office platforms. This will be a focus in the next year.
Competence profile
'You have a university degree in computer science and have been working at least 5 years as a leading developer in a technically challenging development project. You should have a genuine interest in system development, be updated with the latest trends and have a clear quality focus.
You probably meet some of the following criteria
• Experience (5 years or more) of programming in C/C++
• Experience with SQL
• College or university education with a specialization in Software development
• Good English and Swedish in speech and writing
Experience with technologies like Java, Linux, Unix, Scripting, Automated tests, Performance ,UML, Oracle, Sybase, TCP/IP, HTTP, Subversion, Git, Cocoa, Mac, Android and iPad development are extra meritorious, as well as knowledge of Agile and Software Craftsmanship
On a personal level, you need to have strong drive, take responsibility, be meticulous and like to work and lead individuals and teams. You enjoy having discussions.
