We are looking for a skilled and highly engaged Java developer for our platform development team. You will help us build world-leading, real-time Big Data marketing technology from our Stockholm City center office.
Our mission is to build the next-generation customer data management platform. We use modern Big Data technologies to build a cutting-edge SaaS solution for businesses, to help them consolidate customer data from their whole business and use it in real time to enhance customer experiences and communication on web, mobile apps, or in physical stores.
In a typical day you will be working with a team of likeminded and enthusiastic developers in an Agile setting, solving hard engineering problems together with your team members.
The work is varied and challenging. We need to maintain near-100% uptime of our platform while scaling to meet dramatically increasing traffic. At the same time, we also need to deliver a host of new features while ensuring we maintain millisecond latencies to support real-time needs of our users. And we need to do this while meeting strict quality requirements.
Responsibilities
As part of the platform development team, implement new key features and solve scalability challenges in our real-time big data platform
Experiment with cutting-edge technologies and frameworks to find creative solutions to hard engineering problems
Refine and expand our APIs and developer toolkits - we use them all internally, so quality must be top notch
Help optimise our development processes, tools and practices to increase velocity and ensure platform stability
Key qualifications
Creative and solutions-oriented, someone who enjoys tackling big challenges and is not afraid to learn new things along the way
High degree of responsibility, someone who takes ownership of their work and cares deeply about quality
Proven ability to write predictable, high-performance, maintainable code
High competence in Java with additional language knowledge considered a bonus (we also use Scala, Go, Node.js, among others)
Strong grasp of distributed systems architecture and concurrent programming

Innometrics, the company behind the product Profile Cloud, was recently acquired by Apsis (www.apsis.com) and is now focusing on rapidly growing the user base of Profile Cloud.
Together with Apsis we have offices in Stockholm, Malmö, Gothenburg, Oslo, London, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Our product development is handled by small, distributed and experienced teams working collaboratively to continue to realize the Profile Cloud vision.
