About the job:
The HR tech startup Careereye is in strong expansion and is starting to in-house the development of its product, which is currently outsourced to a team in Ukraine.
This is a solution design role and we are looking to hire an individual that can translate complex business logic into neat and powerful code.
The team will initially be formed by you, a Senior Back-end developer / architect taking responsibilities over the design and implementation of the platform's architecture, Servers maintenance (currently Azure IIS 8), and Database structuring (currently in MSSQL).
You will also work alongside a full stack developers (also a position we are looking to fill) who will take responsibilities over the day to day operation, bug fixing as well as implementation of exciting new features.
The team will initially be tasked to 'audit' our current solution and re-engineer it where necessary to enable scalability in line with the business requirements (e.g. transforming the current monolithic architecture to 'miroservices' if deemed appropriate).
You will not be bound by C# and .Net, but it is paramount to have a solid working knowledge of .Net framework because of the legacy solution.
On a personal level, you must be committed collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, scalability and quality of product.
Your responsibilities:
Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable and scalable platform (perhaps in C# code)
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Help identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatisation
Your background and skills:
Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystem
Familiarity with the .NET framework
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Skill for writing reusable C# libraries
Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL and Azure IIS 8
Knack for writing clean, readable C# code
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
Understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
Experience of implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)
Familiarity with continuous integration
Excellent communication skills in English
Nice to have:
Experience in machine learning and / or matching algorithm
Communication skills in Swedish
Communication skills in Russian / Ukrainian
