Bridgepoint is a leading international alternative asset management group investing in high quality businesses across six sectors: Business Services, Consumer, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Industrials, and Digital, Technology and Media. Bridgepoint operates three different private equity strategies, which invest out of separate funds across the lower and mid- market: Bridgepoint Europe (investing in companies valued between EUR200 million and EUR1.5 billion); Bridgepoint Development Capital (EUR75 to EUR200 million); and Bridgepoint Growth (EUR10 to EUR75 million). Alongside its private equity strategies, Bridgepoint also has a private credit business which focuses on direct lending to mid-market private equity-backed companies in Europe. The Firm recently acquired the credit business of EQT which has materially increased the size of Bridgepoint's platform.
One of Bridgepoint's key differentiators is its local office network, with 9 offices across Europe (6), the US (2) and China. With more than EUR25 billion of committed capital across its various strategies, Bridgepoint is proud to count many of the world's leading institutions amongst its investor base with a total of c.150 different investors across its various funds.
Bridgepoint Europe is currently investing out of its EUR5.7 billion Fund VI. Prior exits include Pret A Manger, Nordic Cinema Group, MotoGP and Calypso.
Key Responsibilities
· Organising tasks for discrete de work streams coordinating team's agendas during deal processes
• Autonomously producing presentations (slide decks) for a variety of audiences; including charts and exhibits
• Appraising potential investment opportunities and structuring / executing upon diligence programmes;
• Building, iterating and auditing financial models;
• Developing and presenting relevant sections of investment papers to Bridgepoint'sinvestment committee;
• Managing a broad array of stakeholders (e.g. corporate finance advisers, diligence providers, etc.) across process milestones; and
• Working closely with investee company management teams in the development and implementation of the value enhancement plan.
What We Are Looking For
• At least 5-6 years of work experience with reputable strategy consulting firms, investment banks (in the mergers & acquisitions or leveraged finance departments), transaction services firms or other leading organisation (especially technology led ones)
• Excellent academics including a degree at Bachelor or Masters level;
• A credible and engaging presentational style, coupled with the confidence (tempered by self- awareness) to be effective in relationship building with vendors / management teams and advisers;
• A high level of numeracy and technical proficiency, combined with the commercial awareness to put the numbers into their strategic context; and
• A demonstrable interest in investing as opposed to advising, coupled with a genuine interest in understanding underlying market and business dynamics
• Private equity experience preferred
• Broad sector experience having completed a number of M&A transactions across a wide range of sectors, including technology, education, business services, healthcare and consumer
• Experience in detailed financial analysis, valuation and financial modelling
• Experience engaging stakeholders and in building relationships
• A high level of numeracy and technical proficiency, combined with the commercial awareness to put the numbers into their strategic context; and
• A demonstrable interest in investing as opposed to advising.
