www.esab.com The Senior Application Specialist SAW is a part of the application development group within Global Product Management SAW/FSW. The main task is to develop new SAW applications for our key segments improving our market position in line with our overall application road map. Furthermore it contains customer support and development in the Laxå based laboratory as well at customer's sites globally. The main application areas are within pressure vessel manufacturing, wind tower production, pipe manufacturing and general beam construction.
The position offers an opportunity to develop the future applications for new material, filler metal and welding equipment. You are a part of the Laxå SAW team but is also in close cooperation with ESAB's global team of welders and welding engineers.
Qualifications
• 5-8 years of theoretical and practical SAW welding from the applications above.
• Experience from leadership
• Working knowledge of welding automation
• English in speaking and writing
• IWE/EWE degree is beneficial
Personal characteristics
• Self-motivated and able to set the right priorities to deliver work on time
• Strong drive combined with excellent communication and networking skills
• Strong problem solving ability
The Senior Application Specialist reports to the Group Leader SAW. The position requires international travel 50-70 days per year.
