Your Role and Responsibilities : In your role as an Application Consultant working with Cloud Modernization on Red Hat you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.
You will play a key role in our customers' evolution in enterprise development and help make our solutions both practical and workable for their businesses. You are able to gain an understanding of customer infrastructure and business needs, make recommendations that resolve their issues, and help them make strategic decisions.
You will support building enterprise applications and capabilities around cloud technologies to streamline development and allow for continuous feature release of applications.
You will have conduct Client Value deep dive discussion etc. for platform modernization from legacy (mainframe, iSeries, Solaris) into RedHat OpenShift platform (Cloud on-prem/off-prem) through modular design by understanding application component as System of Engagement (SOE), System of Insight (SOI), System of Integration (SOI), System of Records (SOR).
You will be leading the team to design Modernization strategy and identify the need for API, Microservices creation vs. language conversion, Database conversion.
You will meet and lead Client team to adopt continuous modernization instead of Big bang approach along with financial benefits. You will also lead these teams in Modernization methodology and be able to lead Design thinking workshop, method tailoring as Client environment and Client industry.
You provide input to Solution team by leading modernization solution through assessment, design and build solution model with staffing, right tools, cost, 3rd party partners dependency on code conversion etc.
