hela Sverige The Aerodynamics section within the Environment & Fluid Dynamics department is a part of the Complete Vehicle organization at Research & Development. At Aerodynamics we work closely together with Product Design and other engineering departments in development of the vehicle exterior as well as components and systems, for efficient energy use in the vehicle to ensure competitive fuel economy and stable driving dynamics. We work with both advanced research, in the pre-project phases and in project realization to ensure our future competitiveness and competence.
As 1st/Senior Analysis Engineer Aerodynamics you will have the responsibility for the development of the aerodynamics toolbox, both CFD tools and experimental tools.
You will also be involved in the pre-study work in vehicle programs. You will take part in the setting of aerodynamic targets for the complete vehicle and will break these targets down this into system and functional requirements. These targets are then narrowed down to the system owners at the respective engineering departments.
Main responsibilities
* Lead/responsible for the development of testing and analysis methods.
* Contribute to the development of the section and the department's work process.
* Work closely with other departments to find synergies regarding our analytical methods.
* Be a part in proposing the best possible technical solution to fulfill aerodynamic targets
* Plan, prepare and perform test assignments and CFD calculations
* Conduct analysis and create recommendations from CFD calculations and wind tunnel tests
* Lead/responsible for target setting on complete vehicle & system level
Requirements
* Minimum BSc in fluid-/aerodynamic
* Experience from the Automotive industry
* Drivers licens B
* Fluent in English, spoken and written
* Demonstrated experience in wind tunnel testing
Meritorious
* Demonstrated experience in CFD flow simulations
