JOB DESCRIPTION
IAC Group Sweden is searching for their next Senior Advanced Engineer. Score responsibility:
Technical lead in the RFQ or development phase
• Final responsible for PBOMs and process flows
• Product and process feasibility
• Responsible for technical customer (and internal) presentations
• Fulfilling all technical RFQ/Project milestones
• Support and technical check of our Sales quotation and assumptions
• Develop and present, sustainable, light weight and/or cost potential proposals
Development competences
• Benchmarking of products, materials, technologies, and Interior trends as well as Exterior trends regarding Commercial vehicles.
• Identify new technology, materials and product trends
• Development of expertise via internal and external networking
• Organize and participate at technical workshops (OEM and/or internal)
• Increase the value/margin/profitability of interior components by
• integration of electric components
• Integration of other components
• new features
• new materials, processes
Position & responsibility
• Position as Advanced Engineer or Senior Advanced Engineer
• Reports to sr. Manager Advanced Product-RFQ Engineering
• Strong relation to engineering manager SWE and Swedish Plant Management
• Location in any of the existing Sweden sites
Competence profile
• Passion for automotive, engineering and development work
• At least 3-5 years' experience in Automotive (interior) or Automotive Plastics
• Engineering degree (min Bachelor of science) or equality experience in Chemical degree
• Preferably experience in engineering, manufacturing and/or CAD systems
• Willing to work local, on global basis. Incl. travel and flexible working time
• Good at building business relationships with customers and suppliers
• Leader skills are an advantage
• Speaking and writing in fluent Swedish, English and preferably German
• Good presentation skills (preparation in PPT and customer presentation)
QUALIFICATIONS
IAC Group is looking for a commited and ambitious college with high drive!
General Profile:
• Technical lead and coordination of RFQ 's and development projects
• Technical IAC contact to our customer (e.g. Volvo Cars, Volvo Truck, Scania etc.) during RFQ Phase or pre-development-Studies
• Should understand the Customer technical expectations and reflect this to all involved RFQ and development departments
• Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams
Functional knowledge
• Requires comprehensive understanding of Automotive Interior concepts especially for Instrument Panels, Door Panels and interior Trim. Including the main processes involved like IM, (Weld) assembly and surface technologies
• The commercial vehicle Exterior product scope is also vital for this position, incl all relevant manufacturing processes for grilles, bumpers and trim panels.
• Preferably with experience in piece price-, tool- and manufacturing-costs.
Business Expertise
• Applies in-depth understanding of the Automotive Interior Business, Commercial vehicle Exteriors business and the RFQ process (acquisition phase)
Leadership
• Feed and manages multiple related teams in RFQ and development activities
• Leads RFQ and/or pre-development team/projects
Problem Solving
• Provides technical solutions regarding product/process/weight/cost improvements to internal parties and customer.
• Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational, and organizational problems
• Analyse and propose product, process and MNF technical feasible solutions
Interpersonal Skills
• Influences others internally and externally, including senior leaders
• Team player, but also capable of handling project by him/her-self
• Honest, fair and good objective negotiator in critical situations
