We are now looking for a Senior Accountant within Group Accounting taking the accounting and accuracy responsibility of the used car value chain and inventories from a Group perspective. Group Accounting consists of 12 dedicated employees who are responsible for the Volvo Cars consolidation and for providing financial data on consolidated level for Volvo Car Group to ensure timely, accurate and uniform data to internal and external parties.
Working in the Group Accounting department gives you a big opportunity to a wide circle of contacts within Volvo Cars, working globally and cross-functionally, as well as getting a comprehensive view of the financial activities within the group. You will also work with the core business of the company and combine the accounting with the operational view of the business. The responsibility includes ensuring adherence of the Volvo Cars Finance Manual, preparing monthly and quarterly financial calculations and analysis and reporting in line with IFRS requirements as well as PRC GAAP The position will require extensive contact with different positions within Group Finance, Global Finance Operations and Business Control as well as with external auditors.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsibility for the consolidated used cars vehicle sales accounting and reporting
* Inventory reconciliation of new and used cars
* Monitor and participate in projects and initiatives relating to the inventories and used car value chain to ensure accuracy in accounting
* Monthly calculate the internal profits elimination within area of responsibility
* Actively lead and develop accounting and analysis within area of responsibility
* Ensure the adherence of accounting guidelines
Required qualifications
* University degree in Business Administration (major in finance or accounting) or equivalent
* Approximately 2-5 years of experience in finance from a global corporate production setting or audit environment with focus on consolidations
* Knowledge in IFRS accounting standards
* Good knowledge in Excel
* Experience using Hyperion FM is beneficial, but not a must
* Fluent English verbally and in writing

Having a holistic mindset and good analytical skills are also key factors in this role. Further, you are motivated by working independently and being able to contribute on our exciting journey ahead.
