We are now looking for a Security Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team.
THE QUALITY ASSURANCE TEAM
As a Security Test Engineer you will be a member of the Test Services team, within the Quality Assurance (QA) organization. The QA organization is responsible for testing Axis products and solutions, from early development phase to release, and as part of maintenance during the full life cycle. We interact closely with all parts of the development organization. We apply the customer perspective in everything we do. Quality is of crucial importance to Axis, and so we continuously work with improving our tools and methodologies.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Together with other security experts within R&D, you will work with Axis model for development of secure software (Axis Security Development Model). Your overall task will be to develop and assess methods and tools for security related testing, and to support the QA organization when implementing these.
Examples of tasks:
• Contribute to the development of methods and tools within the security area, for Axis R&D
• Coach testers during security testing activities
• Drive relevant automation of security test
• Be responsible for a security issues database, and ensure that external and internal security items are harvested and managed per company security policies
• Perform penetration test, and vulnerability test, to identify flaws in design and implementation
• Maintain documentation, and communicate results and status to stakeholders.
In short, you will be a significant contributor to the work with assessing and improving security in Axis products and solutions.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about testing and security. You are curious and open to new challenges, and at the same time eager to share your insights and help others while suggesting a way forward. You interact with others to achieve your goals, as well as company goals. You are a responsible person used to taking initiatives.
Qualifications and experience:
• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, or similar
• Experience from development and test of embedded systems and/or cloud services
• Proven experience from work with security in software solutions
• Technical knowledge of techniques and standards for security, vulnerabilities and incident handling
• In-depth knowledge of security testing tools, including their strengths and weaknesses
• Ability to develop own tools or scripts, to simplify test execution and analysis
• Experience from test automation
• Keen interest in security research and development
• Proficiency in English.
