You will learn about the products, about SAAB Kockums organization and customers and establish good collaborations both internally and externally. Your role
As the head of Requirements management you will lead an organization with the mission to lead the requirements management activities in projects. The team has extensive knowledge within requirements definition, analysis, traceability, configuration and change management, and data base management. The team is growing and you will recruit more staff and develop all employees to maintain a healthy team that can face and thrive from the growing requests.
You will play a key role for SAAB Kockums' ability to drive efficient development work and will develop and maintain processes, methodologies and tools for the area, as well as and develop the individuals in the team and the team as a whole. You will be responsible for the quality of your teams output and deliveries in projects. You will lead the area proactively and have a long-term view by communicating, collaborating and cooperating with other your manager colleagues in the area leadership team, and with other areas and sections across the whole SAAB Kockums organization. You support your employees by removing obstacles.
You will be a part of the Specialty Engineering area 's leadership team where you are expected to actively contribute to the strategic development work as well as long term business-, resource- and competence development plans. The position will be based in Malmö until 2025 when we will move into our brilliant and shining new office in Lund. Travels between sites and customer sites will occur but is of low frequency.
Your profile
You have a background within system development, preferably from the defense or naval industry and a genuine interest to lead and develop people. You have an ability to build strong teams where there is a high level of freedom to lead your own work and at the same time have a clear responsibility and sense of duty towards your teammates. You are curious, a continuous learner and grounded. We believe you are a good communicator who sets clear expectations, follows up, gives and takes feedback.
We believe that the right person for this job has a background within some kind of complex system development and experience from requirements management and/or verification management or technical project management or systems engineering with good understanding of requirements management. It is preferred but not a requirement that you are a people leader or have experience from management roles. We also believe you are structured and have a desire to make the complex simple. We are going to take a holistic approach and look at total picture of previous experiences, current fit to the role, personality and opportunities for growth when finding the best candidate for the job.

Saab Business Area Kockums have profound experience of developing highly advanced vessels and platforms for the maritime domain. On the surface and below. The Requirements management section belongs to the Specialty Engineering area, an area which currently consists of approximately 60 employees split in five different sections where of Requirements Management is one. The section is expected to grow further to meet the increased demand of our knowledge and competence. You will be the one leading and developing a growing section, securing project deliveries both to our national and international submarine projects.
