Cytiva is seeking a Section Manager for the Extractables & Leachables team in Uppsala. As the Section Manager for Extractables & Leachables, you will be part of the Bioprocess OpCo and the Resin & Technologies Business Unit R&D. The E&L area is of growing importance due to the increasing demand for E&L data to support the majority of our products. The team has many stakeholders and a sister organization in the US, so it will be very important to support the organization with prioritization and cross functional communication.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and set the directions for the Extractables & Leachables team around strategy and day to day work.
Develop people, organization and operating mechanisms to successfully meet requirements in the projects in close collaboration with Product Management, Marketing, GSC and other critical functions.
Build and maintain an internal network across OpCo's and Business units to jointly deliver on agreed priorities.
Build and maintain good knowledge of customers, competitors and competing products/technologies within the team.
Take on responsibility for tasks outside of direct responsibility, as agreed with manager.
The essential requirements of the job include:
MSc or similar education in Analytical chemistry/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or equivalent area.
At least 5 years experience of industrial development/R&D and market support context.
Excellent application and customer understanding within the bioprocess and research industry.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to balance resources, timing and quality of outcomes.
Track record of successful cross-functional collaborations.
Strong communication skills and ability to represent Cytiva R&D internally and externally.
English and Swedish as working languages.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Good understanding of validation and regulatory requirements.
Experience from LC-MS, GC-MS and/or HPLC methods.
