We are now looking for a Section Lead for the Ice and Rain Protection Systems to join our Mechanical Systems group in Gothenburg.
Your mission
The Section Lead Ice and Rain Protection Systems is a principal engineer level position, responsible for all aspects of the Ice and Rain Protection Systems (IRPS) engineering in the program. The role requires technical leadership of the IRPS team and representation at program/ technical reviews and meetings.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the IRPS team and assisting with section management

Ensuring engineering definition meets stakeholder requirements

Adhering to engineering processes/standards

Participating in design reviews for certification, cost, and schedule goals
You will report to the Head of Mechanical Systems and your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Education/Experience
- M.Sc/M.Eng, or equivalent, in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering subject
- Minimum 10 + years of experience with design, development, and certification of aircraft Ice and Rain Protection Systems for EASA/FAA Part 23/25 aircraft
- Understanding of requirements-based design and engineering processes
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles for safety critical systems
- Working knowledge of Airborne Electronic Hardware and Software development assurance processes
- Experience with developing design concepts and architectures for IRPS
- Practical experience with systems equipment qualification activities
- Management experience in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Integration and systems design installation of complex mechanical and electrical systems
- Development and certification testing experience, including rig tests and aircraft ground/flight tests
- Experience working with systems suppliers, including evaluation, selection, and technical management
- Experience working in an aerospace start-up environment is a merit
