hela Sverige You will have a key role in our strategic sourcing team of four at ABB Local Business Unit in Alingsås. You will be responsible for supporting, designing and executing purchasing strategies to ensure KPI fulfilment, material availability and risk mitigation. This will be done within the supplier base for one or more purchasing categories. You will be engaged in creating good relationships that will foster the development of both ABB and our suppliers on a long term basis. Quotation handling, negotiations and contract signing will also be recurring tasks of yours.
In addition, you will participate in the development projects of the manufacturing units new and existing products as well as operational excellence initiatives. This is to achieve increased competitiveness, optimized processes and innovation. You will also be responsible for the implementation and follow up of annual cost savings targets for your categories. As a SCM specialist you will need to work across functions and your ability to adapt is essential for our success. As part of ABB's extensive network, you will work with suppliers from several countries and have great opportunities for professional growth.
To be suitable for this role you have 2 -5 years of work experience and hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering or Economics. Experience from strategic sourcing, operative purchasing, quality and/or product development will be to your advantage. Basic IT tools like MS Office and ERP-systems are also familiar to you. As you will be working in a global environment, you are fluent in English, written and spoken alike, whereas knowledge of other languages is a plus.
On a personal level, you are an analytical thinker and a team player with an independent and solution oriented working style, as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills. Moreover, you are good at building extensive networks internally as well as externally and like to travel. You consider yourself to be an energetic, motivated and self-confident person who can handle both ups and downs and manage any problem that may occur.
