hela Sverige Would you like to have a central position within a true global business? Are you driven by results and want to drive and develop the organization from a Supply Management perspective? As the SCM Manager of the GPG in FACTS you will have a key role in driving the focus of a qualitative and cost competitive supply. You would be leading the SCM activities across the FACTS organization globally.
You will be the manager of a team of three employees located in Västerås, Sweden, and have the functional responsibility of all global SCM activities within GPG FACTS. This includes the responsibility for developing and implementing cost, productivity, quality, delivery and inventory improvement plans in line global strategies. You will also have the ownership to determine annual targets for cost reduction, supplier quality, supplier delivery performance (on-time delivery (OTD)) etc. Your focus will be on long-term planning and continuous improvement, and you will track progress through monthly monitoring of results.
Keeping in mind ABB's overall standards, strategy and goals you will define, coordinate and implement the sourcing strategy for the unit. This includes market analysis, category strategies as well as developing category roadmap. Furthermore, you would be involved in International Supplier Relationship Management which consists of, among other things, Supplier Risk Management, Development and Auditing.
A strong sense of ownership will help you take responsibility for planning, initializing and monitoring strategic sourcing activities for projects and business.
The successful candidate will preferably have extensive experience in the industrial environment, from a system business and from strategic supply chain management, as well as possess good technical knowledge in power transmission technologies. He or she holds a University degree in a relevant field.
As you will be working in a global environment, it is necessary that you have international experience and that you are fluent in English, written and spoken alike, whereas knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
On a personal level, you are an analytical leader and a team player with an independent and solutions-oriented working style, as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills. Through extensive experience in negotiations you achieve commitment as well as results.
You will be part of the Global Product Group FACTS and responsible for the Supply Chain management organization. The FACTS technology enables power system owners to increase capacity in the existing power system while the electrical stability improves. As a result, more power reaches the customers at a minimal environmental impact, shorter project lead time and at lower investment costs.
The SCM organization is responsible for strategic sourcing for projects within GPG FACTS. This entails setting up and executing category strategy, supplier selection, negotiations, as well as involvement in supplier qualification, audits, contracts etc in accordance with the global guidelines of ABB.
