We are looking for a Scientist to support the organisation around downstream processing and protein purification using chromatography and filtration techniques with focus on macromolecules. The position is placed in the Bioprocess Applications section in RnD and the team is responsible for application work related to market support and new product introductions for vaccines, recombinant proteins and plasma. This is a temporary position.
Essential Responsibilities:
The role as Scientist includes project and line activities that will support both tech intake, R-projects, new product introductions, market support and sales support.
• As part of a team you will plan and deliver the team's commitments and when needed be activity responsible or project manager
• Perform laboratory investigations - on your own or as a team - through planning, execution and analysis of results
• Take part in technical evaluations, defining customer needs and verifying them
• Present, orally and in writing, results and conclusions from studies performed
This is a temporary position between January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018.

• PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related area or MSc with corresponding experience from working
• Good knowledge about protein separation using chromatography and filtration plus knowledge about viral vectors, plasmids and other macromolecules
• Structured and organized team player with good interpersonal skills that can drive R-projects and activities independently
• Flexible and good track record to deliver according to deadlines and handling multiple activities/projects in parallel
• English as working languages with good communication skills (both written and spoken)
Desired Characteristics:
• Experience using GE Healthcare products is a merit
• Good understanding of upstream and harvest process steps
• Knowledge about biological assays and experience in developing analysis methods
• Swedish as working language
