Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Established in 2023, our battery factory is a key component in this ambitious journey, and we're now looking for an SAP Lead to strengthen our production planning. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building up a brand new factory and build competence in a technology area that is critical for a more sustainable future in the transport industry.
We are currently in the middle of a phase where we train and build competence to manufacture battery packs, modules, and cabling for tomorrow's e-mobility products, and this is where you come in.
About the Battery Factory
Today in our battery production, we currently have a line for the serial production of battery packs and modules, two prototype lines for batteries, and a line for the production of VCB cables, all highly automated. We are on a dynamic journey so we work cross-functionally with short lead times and fast iterations, with pace of development in focus.
Our team
Our growing organisation consists of a production team, which produces battery packs of today's generation, as well as a project team, which prepares for future volumes and new-generation battery packs. We may be a new unit but we have already built a strong team culture where we focus on supporting each other and continuously improving our working methods and processes, while having great fun along the way.
We offer
We can offer you a dynamic workplace with diverse and challenging tasks. Scania offers many opportunities to develop your career, so education via internal and external courses is encouraged and supported. Scania also offers other benefits such as a wellness allowance, performance bonuses, an occupational pension, flexible working hours, and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we also offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje with Scania Jobexpress.
Your role
Your main mission in this role is to lead our use of SAP in production planning, and help uplift the capabilities in this area among your colleagues by providing training and guidance. Using your background in production planning you will also help initiate structure, clarify, and create routines and manage deviations as well as improvement work.
Example of tasks in this role:
Prepare for upcoming production planning set-up, new intros, and system changes.
CBP and PPE prototype and preseries.
Develop routines and working methods for production planning together with colleagues.
Coordinate and inform in case of risks and deviations linked to production.
Coordinating and communicating production planning internally and externally.
Be the link to central planning and customers in production planning issues.

Your profile
You like to stay on top of things - you are organised, able to track deliveries, and share updates and solutions along the way. To thrive in our dynamic work environment, where everyday life can be quite unpredictable, we also think you are flexible and solution-focused and keen to find best practices to develop the organisation. Being a team player is also key in this role as you will collaborate closely with a broad range of different stakeholders. To help share your SAP knowledge among the team we also think you enjoy teaching others.
As a person, you are good at problem-solving, communication, and have a proven ability to achieve results with and through others. You have a driving approach and good analytical skills.
We'd also like you to bring the following technical skills and knowledge:
Experience working in SAP - PP module on S/4 HANA
Strong skills in MS Excel
Competence in work environment legislation
Ability to communicate fluently in English, in speaking and writing.

It is also an added advantage if you have knowledge of SAP modules on MM and EWM, and/or have previous experience in environment management from Scania and SPS.
