Aebi Schmidt UK Ltd supplies, maintains and provides training on equipment dedicated to all-year-round surface clearing, including winter snow and ice clearance, sweeping and vegetation control. We operate a nationwide service and maintenance operation, including fast response Field Service Engineers, in-house and on-site product training and a centrally controlled parts service.

Aebi Schmidt provides effective solutions to keep roads, airports and motorways clear of waste, obstructions and snow/ice. Our range includes sub-compact, compact, and truck mounted sweepers, snowploughs, permanently mounted and demountable spreaders, airport de-icing and snow removal equipment and all-terrain vehicles for grass mowing and hedge cutting.

DESCRIPTION OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Responsible for proactively selling winter maintenance and environmental equipment to new and existing customers and for achieving sales targets to maximise the best possible profit margins
Identify new sales opportunities
Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with the order process and working with sales support team to ensure that the correct specification is ordered.
Arrange demonstrations of appropriate equipment to be shown to customers in the best possible sales environment
Ensure that you attend all relevant exhibitions and network with customers to generate leads
Provide the Sales Support department with assistance in the tender and quotation process when required.
Provide market data including information on future requirements, market potential, competitor activities, etc.
You will employ marketing strategies to increase customer base.
Regular meetings/communication with National Sales Manager regarding activity, opportunities and market data.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years experience in sales of capital goods
Proven ability to succeed in a competitive marketplace
Understanding of technical, high-value capital products
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage at all levels
Experience of local authority tender process and working with Local Authorities in general.
High level of education, preferably degree in related subject
Personal organisational skills
Everyday skills in IT communication
Awareness of technology for future development
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Excellent commercial skills and target driven
