Sales Manager Scientific

To develop HORIBA Scientific for the industrial market in Scandinavia, HORIBA is looking for a territorial Sales Manager located with the great HORIBA-team in the Gothenburg office!

HORIBA Scientific is a world leading supplier of optical and analytical instrumentation adapted to the needs of customer in fundamental research, applied analysis and QC application. As Sales Manager Scientific for the Scandinavian market, you will independently build up the Scandinavian market for HORIBA Scientific, while working closely together with the international team of Sales leader, Product Manager and application Scientists located in France. Your focus is on the sales success of the product portfolio in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. The position is new in Scandinavia and you will therefore have the opportunity to build the role independently. You will work with both strategical and operative sales and will be responsible for the territorial turnover as well as taking part of the territorial budgeting.

Your 2 main responsibilities and tasks will be:

1.Commercial business development/development of customer and customers portfolio:
• Identifying market opportunities and establishing new customer relationship
• Representing HORIBA Scientific product portfolio on trade shows
• Creating key accounts
• Feedback territorial specific information to the European Headquarter, (Ongoing reporting to HK of sales related information, forecast, product, reporting via CRM system)

2.Management of complete sales projects; from inquiry to cash in:
• Consulting and communication for instrument configuration, if needed with the support of EU Product Managers and Application Scientist
• Contract negotiation
• Maintaining customer relationship accompanying installation and first after sales period

Required Skills:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering/ natural Science related topics or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years sales experience of comparable branches as well as experience in international business culture
• Of course you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English spoken and written

Previous experience from sales of technical instruments and knowledge in German or French is an advantage in the position.

Personal Skills:
• Business and target oriented with a strong customer dedication
• Highly self-motivated as well as team oriented
• Willing to travel abroad and within Scandinavia to costumers

You will report to the Managing Director at HORIBA Europe Gmbh branch Sweden

Main field of customer's application is within advanced (nano-)material, surface science, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. HORIBA have five global business segments and 7 149 employees in total (2016.12).

HORIBA Sweden is a branch of HORIBA Europe which have been established in Scandinavia since 1993. One office in Gothenburg and one office in Södertälje and with a total of 23 persons. HORIBA Automotive Test Systems, one of the five segments, is a leading supplier in the fields of engine test systems, driveline test systems, brake test systems, wind tunnel balances and emissions test systems. HORIBA Sweden has since 1993 provided test equipment and services for Automotive Test Systems on the Scandinavian market.
