The role

• Take full Commercial responsibility for Coatings & Polymers sales of Sibelco Group products to support a customer focused approach for profitable growth.

• To manage sales for all industries included in the Coatings & Polymers division in the assigned region.

• To Identify new sales opportunities and develop new products / applications in cooperation with the Technical Sales Manager. Understand the markets and the key players active in the Region and build the necessary market intelligence to retain and extend the Customer portfolio.

The role's key accountabilities will primarily involve

• Position Coatings & Polymers product portfolio to the Coatings & Polymers market.
• Management of Customers and Key Accounts assigned in the region.
• Formulate and then implement sales strategies including price, product and distribution channels to develop new and existing markets in cooperation with the Technical Sales manager.
• Set prices and payment terms in line with Sibelco's pricing and payment structures for the region.
• Mapping competition and identifying their strengths and weaknesses.
• Build network at all relevant Customer levels as well as in business related local and national organisations.
• Provide operations and supply chain with on time information to schedule the activities for the short/medium/long term period.

Essentially for this role the candidate will have

• Sales experience in an international, multifunctional environment with a proven track record in identifying / developing new business.
• Practical understanding of industrial mineral industry with specific and detailed knowledge in Coatings & Polymers
• Financial principles & Business acumen
• Broad breadth of knowledge of Coatings & Polymers processes and end markets
• Customer orientated, innovative and problem solving
• Project, time and change management and negotiation and organisational skills
• Multi-lingual (Local and minimum English required)
