About us
RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and Chalmers University of Technology foundation jointly own SEEL - Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory, a new test and research center for electromobility, which will open on the 31st of May 2023 in Gothenburg, Nykvarn and Borås.
The facilities will offer a variety of safety-critical testing (mechanical, electrical, fire) for electrified vehicles and batteries as well as verification, validation, and functional development capabilities.
We are now looking for a Sales Manager who will be a key player in RISEs and SEELs successful start of operation within the field of battery testing.

About the role
In the role as Sales Manager battery safety, you will be responsible for the sales of services provided by the largest battery safety lab in the world. The new lab in Borås will provide world leading test services for critical safety of electrified cars, trucks, machines, and other energy storage applications utilizing batteries and fuel cells. You will build relationships and work with customers to support its energy storage solutions needs.
You manage the entire sales process from first touchpoint to contract, including operational and strategical tasks like:
- Effectively communicates and negotiates complex sales contracts with customers. Introduces customers to the new testing equipment and what we can provide as a complete one stop shop. Articulates and presents test features and benefits.
- Develop and maintains business relationships often involving high levels of management.
- Develop sales plan strategies for achieving desired results. Contribute to development of long-range plans (LRP) for the test facility together with business and research development managers.
- Responsible that revenue targets are met by identifying opportunities for increasing sales and/or to pursue new business.
- Cooperation with other group cross RISE, directors and technical project managers will be essential to increase offers.
The position is a permanent full-time employment. You report to the Vice president of electrification and reliability at RISE. The test facilities are in Borås, Gothenburg and Nykvarn, but customers are all over the world. Your workplace will be in Borås but there are possibilities for hybrid solution with home office. Travel will be needed.
Who are you?
We are looking for a Sales Manager with a solid background in B2B sales and with at least a few years of experience from test rigs/beds. Your practical experience will be highly valued as well as your understanding of typical test objects and measurement techniques. Experience in automotive/battery-related sales is preferred.
- We communicate in Swedish and English, so you need to be fluent in both languages.
- Driving license B is mandatory.
- Experience of some type of mechanical or electrical tasks around electrical vehicles and experience with CAN bus technology would be considered as a merit.

You are good at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and monitoring to ensure the attainment of business objectives. You have the ability to apply analytical thinking to identify potential solutions to problems and you are innovative in identifying new solutions.
People around you see you as service minded with good communications skills, a team player with ability to work independently. The careful and systematic approach is important. This will be essential in the start-up phase, but also a success factor for the future.
