The product management department within buses and coaches is in the epicentre of the Scania transformation where we play a central part. We are looking forward to an exciting journey and to strengthening the team with a Sales Engineer who will play a crucial part in taking product management to the next level.
The role of the Sales Engineer gives a unique opportunity to work closely with Bus & Coach Builder Partners and the customer where the business is happening. You will work in close cooperation with business units, strategic partners, the sales organization as well as with R&D. The position offers an opportunity for here-and-now business combined with a long-term definition of solutions.
The responsibilities include:
• Act as a product expert for the Scania organization globally
• Help strategic partners and business units to optimize vehicle performance to achieve the best possible solution and Total Operating Economy
• Assist the sales organization to make the right choice of product
• Handling of Special Order requests
• Provide technical advice to business units, sales departments, and Key Account Managers worldwide
• Take leadership of the offered technical specifications when conditions require, e.g. when entering new markets, new segments, or large deals
• Shape and influence the cooperation with our external Bus & Coach Builder partners
We are looking for a service-minded person with a can-do attitude, an interest in building relationships, and who is triggered by working close to the market with the high pulse that this at times requires. A strong technical interest in the bus products is a must as well as an interest to put this into use in a commercial environment taking into consideration product cost, price, and choice of the best product.
Another merit of interest is the capability to build a strong network internally and externally.
