The Marketing and Sales Engineer will be working with individuals at NEOLund with high technical competence to develop and implement marketing and sales strategies. Due to the innovative and research-oriented environment of NEOLund, each technology project is unique, and the Marketing and Sales Engineer will be required to possess the ability to understand and grasp the fundamentals in the technologies and products. A technical background and a technical interest of the applicant is regarded as necessary.

The Marketing and Sales Engineer is expected to work independently to identify new potential markets and customers to create leads and opportunities as well as to continuously follow up on existing and new leads. Since NEOLund develops innovative technologies which are often not available at the market today, the Marketing and Sales Engineer is expected to visit multiple academic sites, industrial sites and to participate in exhibitions/conferences to market the capabilities of the technologies developed. Thus, a Marketing and Sales Engineer will be required to possess the ability to create and join new networks and to upkeep existing relationships within the different networks relevant for NEOLund. Applicants which already participates in or manages relevant industrial and academic networks are regarded as a merit.

This position includes close collaboration with external partners and international travels, estimated to 30 days annually, to potential and existing customers, partners and external collaborators, which are part of the job.

The Marketing and Sales Engineer's tasks and responsibilities include:
* Marketing of products, technologies and services
* Sales of products, technologies and services
* Market analysis
* Business analysis and developing business models
* Identification of new potential customers and markets
* Continuous follow-up on customers and leads
* Drafting of marketing and business strategies
* Input to R&D for roadmaps
* Demonstration of new technology and products at both local and remote sites
* Upkeep of existing relationships and networks
* Creating and participating in new networks relevant for NEOLund

The other, technical team members, will provide extensive training and support to the Marketing and Sales Engineer.

In addition, all team members at NEOLund are expected to have a positive attitude and jointly work toward the best solutions for the company.

The success in the role requires skills/good knowledge/experience in the following areas, and those with experience in several of these areas will be given preference:
* University degree with:
o technical relevance, .e.g,, MSc in engineering or BSc in engineering, or
o business relevance with a documented interest and knowledge of technology.
* Intrinsic interest in new and optical technologies to provide market input to the R&D teams.
* At least three years of relevant working experience.
* Experience in:
o market analysis
o sales of advanced (preferably electro-optical) instrumentation.
o sales towards different segments in the industry and academia.
o marketing of new technologies.
o Identifying and specifying market needs and requirements for new products.
o business analysis.
* Networking experience to form and participate in new networks and to maintain existing networks.
* Member of relevant networks in, e.g:
o Optical industry.
o Research-oriented optical instrumentation.
o Rapid prototyping for academia, research institutes or research industries.
o Academic networks which develop or employ optical instrumentation.
o Research institutes dealing with electro optics.
* Being a team member who values teamwork with members from different disciplines.
* Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
* Used to take full responsibilities of assigned tasks.

NEOLund AB, located in Lund, Sweden, was formed in 2017 and is a subsidiary to Norsk Elektro Optikk A/S, Oslo, Norway. The company develops new laser technology platforms aimed for industrial optical sensors. The development branches involve tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) technology and light detection and ranging (LIDAR) technology for atmospheric and industrial gas analysis.
