What you will be part of
For more than a year, you will participate in an international programme that is uniquely designed to boost your career as well as to provide you with the right toolbox to develop as a leader. From day one, you will be appointed to a position with permanent employment at one of Saab's sites worldwide.
Saab Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions.
Business unit (BU) Surface Radar Solutions has global responsibility for Saab's surface radar systems, ground based as well as naval. It has offices around the world, with the largest sites being Gothenburg (SE), Syracuse (US) and Halden (Norway). The BU has around 700 employees.
On BU level, Regions has the responsibility for order intake, sales and project margin for the products. Regions has about 60 employees in Gothenburg and local offices in Halden, London, Seoul, Prag, Adelaide and Singapore. The unit operates through its agile Regional Teams consisting of 5-8 employees each.



Your role
During the programme, you will get the opportunity to create an overall understanding of the company that will prepare you for an exciting future together with us. Your development will be aligned with Saab's business goals and the programme will enable you to contribute to our business and take part in actual projects.
As a member of a Regional Team, your work will cover the phases from marketing & sales to project execution, always striving for quality in the commercial area. You will contribute with the commercial view on e.g. business set up, local conditions, customer requirements, contracts, pricing and execution. Your main focus will be the commercial parts during bid phase and negotiations.
As Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Active sales team member including team interaction with customers/partners as well as Saab Marketing Area organization and Saab management.
• Bid preparations for commercial parts
• Contracts/agreements
• Negotiations
• Price/margin analysis
• Contractual support during project execution
• Commercial aspects on strategy and business/contractual set-up

The work is of an event driven nature where both initiative and the ability to evaluate situations and options are needed, sometimes in a time critical manner. You are comfortable working both independently within your field of competence as well as with other interfaces relevant in order to secure quality, to meet directives and deadlines.
Above all, the main objective is to secure and execute profitable orders for Surface Radar Solutions with your Regional team!

Your skills and experience
As we are looking for future leaders, you need to have a genuine interest in people. You understand that communication, collaboration and curiosity are essential success factors for a business to grow and for people to thrive at their workplace. You are flexible, humble and spread positive energy. You have an overall business understanding, possess a strategic thinking and deliver excellent results. Your motivation, drive and commitment help you, and people around you, to perform on a daily basis. To apply for this program you have a maximum of 2 years work experience.
You have a Master in Industrial Engineering & Management or in Marketing or Finance. You have an overall business understanding, possess a strategic thinking and deliver excellent results. Your motivation, drive and commitment help you, and people around you, to perform on a daily basis. You also have an eye for details and an analytical mind. As the arena is international, your skills in English are excellent and your understanding and insights of cultural aspects very good. This position will require international travels.
You will be located at Regions in Gothenburg.
Some positions have tasks including defense secrecy. In such circumstances it will be required of you to conduct and receive an approved security clearance by responsible authorities.
