Role Summary/Purpose:

Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF) provides crucial liquidity for manufacturers throughout the supply and distribution chain. From the sourcing of components, through the manufacturing process and on to the supply of product via distribution networks, GE Capital provides solutions which enable our customers to grow sales, de-risk their balance sheets and transfer the financial relationship with their distribution networks to our team of industry specialists

Essential Responsibilities:

The Account Manager role reports into the Nordic Risk Service & Delivery Leader, which is part of the Service & Delivery Risk Function within CDF UK EMEA.

Key responsibilities include:

Actively manage a portfolio of dealers associated with a certain industry
Receive & resolve all incoming queries from customers to fully satisfy their needs
Review customer management IT system and proactively phone customers to discuss receivables and inventory
Actively review and manage credit line utilisation including increases credit line requests and reductions
Deficiency management
Manage Direct Debit process
Manage invoices and approvals
Use listening & empathy skills to identify the nature & cause of all queries, ensuring issues are fully understood, resolved, and minimizing the possibility of the query reoccurring
Ensure all communications (verbal & written) are of the highest standard: professional, appropriate & proactive at all times
Continuously seek & suggest process improvement opportunities to increase speed, accuracy, & digitisation
Interact with sales, risk, and Operations in your site and across Europe to ensure customer satisfaction
Support underwriting team (Document management, monitoring activities etc)

Qualifications/Requirements:

Background in Finance / Banking / Factoring / Customer Service
Customer Service Orientation - acts to help or serve customers, focusing efforts on discovering and meeting their needs
Credit Control Experience
Communication skills - ability to relay required information clearly and succinctly to the customer; ability to listen to the customer and answer queries in a clear, diplomatic and articulate manner; communicate directly with customers, vendors, sales reps, Risk contacts, & relationship managers
Listening skills - ability to listen carefully to the customer, seeking clarification of details given where necessary
Problem solving/decision making skills
Ability to access and update computerised information ? accurate data entry
Microsoft products ? excel, word, power point, outlook
Understand products/services offered
Work within the framework of company regulations e.g. data protection, adding strong compliance culture including full adherence to business policies / procedures / SOP
Fluency in English
Finnish and Swedish speaking
Have an understanding of the other Scandinavian languages

Desired Characteristics:

Credit Control, Customer Service and Relationship Management experience in a leasing/ financial services environment
University Education in related field
