hela Sverige Food is a big part of our rooftop experience and we are looking for individuals with a genuine, warm personality and a passion for high level gastronomy.
Currently we are recruiting for line chefs with experience in bar or restaurant kitchens to join our roof top Stockholm Under Stjärnorna team this summer season.
The position is seasonal from April till September, with possibility to stay with us further on at the hotel after the summer.
The position is hourly paid and we are looking for people who can commit for the whole summer period.
Working hours are mostly in the evening and days off will vary from week to week.
About the venue
Stockholm Under Stjärnorna is the vibrant rooftop located 50 meters above the streets of central Stockholm. A modern roof park of 1200 m2 where the focus is put on activities. Whether it's the DJs that play music, the movies, football Euro Cup or Olympics on the screen or the cocktails in your glass, everything is carefully curated to altogether create something extraordinary and entertaining. The service style is casual, relaxed and fun.

https://www.instagram.com/sthlmunderstjarnorna/ The kitchen team is comprised by around 4 people and the type of food served is fresh and light summer dishes inspired by different types of street food from around the world that pair well with drinks.
The successful candidate will be part of an exciting team and concept which is among the best hotels in the city.
The main responsibilities are:
• Work daily in one of the stations (hot, cold) and be able to properly prepare for service and keep the required production pace as required by the sous chefs
• Control consistency of food production in terms of quality during service
• Keep the standards in regards to performance of duties, appearance, time keeping
• Follow the health and safety regulations set by the hotel
•
Daily performance of cleaning routines
•
Daily control of received stock
•
Wastage management
•
Perform monthly inventories when required
Background and personal characteristics:
You are an creative team player who thrives in a high-pace kitchen operation making exceptionally high quality food.
In addition,
•
You have at least 2 year experience working in similar position.
• You have good knowledge of different ingredients and types of cuisine
• You enjoy the busy services and thrive under stress.
•
Ambitious and interested in working in a high-pace environment with great standards
•
Out-going personality who has an easy way communicating with colleagues and high energy.
• You take responsibility for your own work and can be trusted to work alone
•
You enjoy structure and have good organizational skills
•
High professional ethics
•
Luxury hospitality is your passion and you have a genuine love for food
•
Able to fluently communicate verbally in Swedish or English
